Day 4

I did get a walk yesterday and a partial cleanout of the greenhouse. Felt good to be outside even in the rain and cold. The tiny carrots, beets, and spinach are bravely poking up and that makes my farmer-self happy. Today I’ll find something active to do. Have to walk whenever possible for well-being. Inside, there are places that still need sorting and purging. I’m good at keeping my things simple. The file drawer could use effort. Ton of paper in the Dem file.

Day 3

Another birthday greeting from the supervisors! I confess that I liked the acknowledgement. I am in the chamber for the meetings and one of a few who stay for the whole meeting. Hollie and I went to Mexican lunch and toured the new Asian market. It was full to the brim with interesting and unidentifiable products. If the rain gives up for a while, I need to get out and walk! These days of staring out the window at the endless downpour are depressing.

Day 2

I feel well-celebrated: Facebook, CJ, mailbox, phone calls, and neighbors all chimed in. We went to Port O” Pints and I had a free pint while everyone in the pub sang. Enough.  There was a brief pause in the rain and I did a brisk quick step around the block. Walking makes a positive difference in my mood. Today is Board of Supervisors meeting. The agenda looks short and may be out by noon. Last time I said that the meeting lasted four hours!

Day 1

Day 1
In astrology, 84 is a significant year. It is the fourth return of Saturn and the return of Uranus. Both of these influences herald shedding and a new phase of permission and freedom from expectations. I’m ready for newness and opportunities to shine as an octogenarian. Later today, Rosalie and Karen and I will go to Seaquake for a late lunch and a pint of ale. I’m hoping to connect with Hollie. It’s too wet to go out and I am missing my walking.
